#FaithNotFoodAddiction – If God is for Us.

This is one of my favorite verses in the whole Bible. Could there be any words more encouraging, more uplifting, more affirming than these? If God is on our side, we have the battle won.

It’s also humbling. We complain about our “troubles” and take on a defeatist attitude when things don’t go our way. Well, they’re not supposed to go our way, they’re supposed to go God’s way. Perhaps if you feel like someone or something is “against you,” you aren’t walking with God.

He has given everything for us; for his imperfect, sinful, prideful children. He gave everything – He allowed his only Son to die on the cross for us. That is true love. Love we can never fully grasp. It’s truly wonderful… Wonder-full! We should be full of wonder, awe, and thanks, not despair.

So next time you feel like the world has turned against you, stop, pray, and walk more in His word. He will give you everything, but you have to give Him your heart. He will protect it and guide you, and remove your enemies.

The verse says “who can ever be against us?” EVER. Not sometimes, once in awhile, occasionally, some people, only the really bad ones… EVER. All of them. All the time. We just have to put Him first.

He gave up his Son, we can give Him our best… and he will give us everything else.

What shall we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is for us, who can ever be against us? Since he did not spare even his own Son but gave him up for us all, won’t he also give us everything else?
